When you can see more than before, you are relieved and liberated.
More about myself in therapy
If you are struggling with mood disorders, image issues/self-esteem and relational issues, we can be a great fit for one another.
I graduated with Ed.M and M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2017 and have practiced psychotherapy since. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York. I love how I do my work, and it is an important part of who I am. I believe that therapy is about articulating the unconscious thoughts and motivation: making implicit explicit creates relief like a sculpture that was buried in dust over years gets unearthed. In actual practice, I would share my feedback about you and comment on your change throughout the course of therapy. As we get to know more about one another, I will hold you in my mind, attune to your here and now feelings, and assist you with self-observation. Over time we weave all the small pieces of you together to become a fuller and steadier image of yourself, so that you hold it in your mind and make decisions that align with your authenticity.
I believe a higher level of self-understanding and awareness will bring more freedom and a wider path ahead for you. In other words, if you want to grow your plants, you want to look into the stream deep down under the ground to find out what in nature has been feeding the plants as well, so the plants can grow lushly.
To ensure the best quality care, I committed myself to weekly personal psychoanalysis to deepen understanding of myself since I believe in order to teach others to play piano, I must play well myself. I also receive weekly psychoanalysis training from Dr. Mark Winborn. I received training and supervision at Ackerman Institute for the Family over years to offer relational based and process based therapy for individuals, couples and families.
